Hi Aaron, thanks for the question. Mostly the reason for not using the official wordle word-list is that (when I did this work) it was not formally released and Towards Data Science insist on using datasets that the author has a right to use. I do plan to come back to this so will certainly check to see if possible with the official target list and valid guess list.
